You're Invited to the Accessible Yoga Conference Online

We're thrilled to invite the Yoga Alliance community to our 2021 Accessible Yoga Conference Online, and we'd love to offer you 20% of the tiered pricing. This year, we’re thrilled to platform an incredibly diverse group of fifty presenters who will be sharing their wisdom and experience in making yoga accessible and equitable. We’re elevating the voices of teachers and practitioners who are often under-estimated and marginalized in yoga spaces. This is part of the change we’re embracing - a new vision of a yoga community based on ethics and equity. A community that is founded on care and compassion, with space for everyone to join in.

Presenters include Reggie Hubbard, Indu Arora, Colin Lieu, Tracee Stanley, Jacoby Ballard, Jivana Heyman, Amber Karnes, and over forty additional teachers who are at the forefront of revolutionizing yoga in the west. This year we’re also hosting a free pre-conference intensive on October 14: Race and Equity in Yoga: Rebuilding and Reimagining a Whole Self and Community with Michelle Cassandra Johnson, Amina Naru, Colin Lieu, Dr. Terry Harris, and Lakshmi Nair.

We also value equity and fairness in the way we choose presenters for the conference. We have a diverse committee of our Board of Directors who submits names and votes on their choices for presenters. We prioritize presenters with marginalized identities, as well as presenters who haven’t presented for us in recent years or ever.

At the Conference we’ll have amazing educational opportunities including asana classes, workshops, lectures, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and more. These programs will focus on increasing equity and accessibility in yoga, addressing racism, ableism, and many other forms of oppression.

Beyond education, we’re excited to connect our global community through a series of Meet & Greets, where you can meet other attendees and connect around specific topics. Through our connection we can share the message that the transformational practices of yoga are available to everyone. By working together we can address the ways that yoga has not been shared equally, and how so many people have been excluded or left out.

Financially accessibility is at the forefront of our work, so we have tiered pricing as well as scholarships available. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please consider applying for a scholarship today if finances are an obstacle for you.

We’re looking forward to connecting with you virtually, and supporting your work in sharing yoga with all. You’ll have access to the Conference materials for a full year so you don’t have to attend all the sessions live. For more information please check out our website.
